There is something deeply beautiful and ancient about Australian eucalypt trees silhouetted at dusk and against the night sky. Their forests are dependent on fire as an essential part of the life cycle and regeneration. Ash is the personification of the devastation brought by fire, where her seeds and flowers can blossom in the new sunlight created in the aftermath.

A painting inspired by mermaids, even though there is no evidence of a tail. It explores feeling vulnerable and protected all at the same time – a state of sinking and floating.

Inspired by the colour of living grasses and leaves, creatures both real and imaginary emit a green hue and the colour green becomes a symbol of life, hope and envy.
