‘Check Y’all’s Boobz’ is a fan art series in support of Pink Hope to remind women to check their breasts on the first day of every month. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime so it’s important to check! As a coquettish reminder I’ll bring you a silver screen star and her décolletage every month and 10% of the sale of each illustration or print will be donated to Pink Hope.

I WILL PREVIVE!

I read somewhere once that life is a spiral… circles within circles and stories within stories. I see life in pictures, words and music. Part two of my personal story evolved through writing and illustrating a year-long musical diary on Instagram from August 2016 to August 2017. It became a therapy to cope with the experience of previving breast cancer through prophylactic bilateral mastectomies and reconstruction, and the unlucky follow-on of surviving gallbladder complications and surgical error. My diary entries, illustrations and paintings will form a book called ‘I Will Previve!’ which I hope to publish in the future.

My mum, Christine, was French and she was beautiful inside and out! She died from secondary breast cancer in 1994, aged 42, and I miss her like crazy. You can read more about Christine and me in part one of my personal story.

As an ambassador for this charity I am supporting the four pillars of education, support, testing and research at Pink Hope by fundraising through art Stories & Memories.

I’ll be bringing you a silver screen star and her décolletage every month as a coquettish reminder! 10% of the sale of each illustration will be donated to Pink Hope.

It was Sophia Loren for Bright Pink Lipstick Day in September and for October it’s a young Elizabeth Taylor.
