]]> Bold Talk To Me is a painted lips study in a postcard-sized painting series, Post Cards To Boobs. The pink shade ‘Bold’ is one of five shades of lipstick created by preventative breast and ovarian organisation, Pink Hope, for Bright Pink Lipstick Day 2018. The colours are named after and worn by five affected women in the community.

The talkative lips belong to the Bold woman, Liana, and support the mission of Pink Hope to “Know Your Risk. Change Your Future.” On the back of the postcard painting there is a written message from the subject:

“Dear Boobs, You are bold! I am starting an important conversation with you. Know your risk. Change Your Future. With love, Liana. XX”

The painting also doubles as a breast check reminder for women on the first day of every month (February 2019).

Together with Bold Eye On You, this painting will be exhibited and available to buy in Femina Extravaganza, BlackCat Gallery, 23 January – 3 February 2019, which explores concepts of femininity and womanhood. Opening night is Thursday 24 November, 6-8pm.
