FAQ
ORIGINALS
Which of your products are original?
All Paintings, Illustrations and Fan Art are original art created by me. Prints are the reproductions of the original art, occasionally with modifications made by the printer to the resolution and colour.
Where can I see all of your work?
My website does not show my full portfolio. Please go to my Facebook photo albums to explore more original art from me. You can also see a snapshot of my style of work and methodology on my Instagram. I regularly use Pinterest for inspiration and to create themed boards. Please contact me if you see something you like that is not listed in my online stores.
PRINTS
Do you make prints of all of your work?
I don’t make prints of every illustration or painting. However, if you see an original you like but would prefer a print of, please contact me for more details.
SIZES
What size is your work?
The size of my work varies. Prints range between A5 and A0. Illustrations and Fan Art are usually A4 or A3. Typically Paintings on paper and canvas are between 30x30cm and 120x120cm. My current work space does not allow for work much bigger than this even though I would love to make larger scale pieces!
COMMISSIONS
Can you work with any photo for a portrait commission?
I can only work with what I see in an image or a photo as unfortunately I can’t imagine what is not there. My work is an interpretation of the original image provided. I have found that I am not able to work with some photos. Older photos will affect the level of detail I am able to get from the original as I work by zooming in and out on a digital device to achieve likeness. It may be possible to work with two images together – for example, a portrait and a background.
What is the process for a commission?
I am happy to discuss any ideas you have to bring them to life and I can research images if you don’t have one for me to work with – for example, a celebrity portrait for Fan Art. I will provide you with a full brief we both agree on before commencing the commission and I require a 50% deposit to begin.
Do you provide progress shots?
I don’t tend to provide photos of the work at a midway point because there is often still a lot to be resolved at this stage. I usually only provide progress shots of my own series.
PRICING
How much do you charge for your work?
I operate fixed pricing for the Paintings, Illustrations, Prints and Fan Art listed in my online stores on my website, Etsy and Bluethumb.
I operate value pricing for commissions which is dependent on size, medium, materials, difficulty and time.
MATERIALS
What mediums do you work in?
I typically work in graphite pencil and acrylic paint but I can also work in coloured pencil, charcoal, pastel, ink, watercolour and oil.

REFUNDS, RETURNS & EXCHANGES POLICY
I understand the difficulty in inspecting a product when buying over the internet. As I would like you to feel confident in purchasing from me I am prepared to accept returns under the following circumstances.
In addition to any of your consumer rights, if you have changed your mind about your online purchase I will be pleased to offer you a refund or exchange provided that:
- You can show proper evidence of purchase
- The goods are in a saleable condition (i.e. the goods are in their original packaging (if any) and not used) and boxed as they arrived
- You notify me within 7 working days from the date of delivery of the goods by emailing me at hello@pascalegarlingeart.com
- You pay for all costs of delivery and return of the goods. A 20% re-stocking fee may apply.

My Refunds, Returns and Exchanges Policy does not apply to any goods that have been purchased using a promotional code or goods that are purchased at a discounted price, only to goods purchased at the full retail price.
In the unforeseen event that you receive your goods in a faulty or damaged condition, the goods may be returned with a replacement arranged at no extra cost or a full refund accepted including postage and handling. This applies specifically to art prints and not to original art. I must be notified within 24 hours of receiving damaged goods if you wish to receive an exchange or refund. Please repack the damaged goods in the original packaging and I will contact you to provide further instructions. There may be an estimated lead time for a replacement order if the product is out of stock.
Pascale Garlinge Art can not be held responsible for items damaged in transit. However, if the goods are faulty or not of acceptable quality, you may have rights under:
- The Competition and Consumer Act 2010(Australian Consumer Law)
- Other consumer laws applying in each Australian State or Territory
- MyRefunds, Return and Exchanges Policy below
Australian Consumer Law
If there is a minor problem with your goods (as defined in the Australian Consumer Law) I may repair the goods instead of offering you a replacement or a refund. This specifically applies to original art.
If there is a major problem with the goods, a refund or a replacement may be available. This specifically applies to art prints.
Unless I am required to do so under the Australian Consumer Law, you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to me.
I invite you to notify me of any damaged goods as soon as possible by emailing me at hello@pascalegarlingeart.com.
PRODUCT CARE
If you have damaged the goods yourself, or you have failed to take proper care of the goods, I may not be able to provide you with a refund or replacement.
CHANGE OR CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
As I process your orders immediately for prompt delivery, I regret that cancellation or change to your order because of a change of mind may not be possible unless I receive your request by phone or email within 24 hours placing your original order. No cancellation or change of orders will be accepted once your order has been dispatched.
